Napkin
Napkin is the pocket companion to Screenplay Assistant. Catch an idea the moment it hits, read your script, and fix a scene wherever you are. Everything you send goes only to your own Screenplay Assistant projects.
Napkin works with an existing Screenplay Assistant account. It signs you in to the projects you already have.
Signing in
- Open Napkin and tap Email me a code.
- Type the email you use for Screenplay Assistant and tap Email me a code.
- Type the 6-digit code from the email and tap Sign in.
There's no password. A code lasts 30 minutes and works once. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, wait a minute, and tap Resend code.
If Napkin says it couldn't find a project for your email, you may write in Screenplay Assistant under a different email. Tap Use a different email and try that one.
Napkins
Tap Napkin on a project and jot the idea down. Type it, tap the mic to say it, write it by hand with your finger or Apple Pencil, or read it from a photo of your handwriting. Photos and drawings are read on your iPhone or iPad and never leave it; only the words do.
When you tap Done, the napkin goes to that project's Notes in Screenplay Assistant. With no signal, it waits on your device and goes by itself when you're back online. You can turn this off in Settings (Send when I tap Done) and send each napkin yourself.
Send to a scene puts a napkin on one scene instead, as a note or at the end of its story. Screenplay Assistant files it the next time the project is open there, and the napkin then says In your scene.
Write
Tap Write on a project, pick a scene, and edit its page. The buttons above the keyboard set each line: Scene Heading, Action, Character, Dialogue, Parenthetical and Transition. Tap Done when you finish.
Your change goes into your script the next time the project is open in Screenplay Assistant, and the scene then says In your script. If the same scene changed on the website too, Screenplay Assistant asks you which version to keep. It never replaces your words without asking.
Read, print and share
Tap Read script (or Read) on a project to see the whole script in page layout, jump to any scene, look through your storyboards, and print or share a PDF of one scene, a few, or all of them.
Contact us
Write to contact@playcode3.ai. A real person reads every message.
Deleting your account
In Napkin, tap your initial at the top of Your Projects, then Delete my account, then Request deletion. Or write to contact@playcode3.ai from the email on your account.
This deletes your Screenplay Assistant account and every project in it, on the website too, and it can't be undone. We delete accounts within 30 days and email you when it is done. Until then, everything keeps working.
