Screenplay Assistant keeps count while you write. When you are ready, you can print one page that says how much of the script came from you and how much came from the app. It counts what the app actually did instead of guessing from your finished words.

What the certificate is

One page. It carries the script title, the writer's name, the date, and the counts: how many words you put in, and how many the app added while it put your pages into screenplay form. It also names the level you wrote at.

Your story stays off it. No scene titles, no sluglines, no dialogue, no character names, no summary. Someone can read the whole certificate and still know nothing about your script.

An editor is not a writer

Stephen King's editors do not get their names on the cover. They cut, they fix, they argue for a better sentence, and the book is still his. That is the standard this feature is built on. Screenplay Assistant is your editor. You wrote the story. So the certificate keeps two counts apart: what you wrote, and what the app edited.

Three levels, from typesetter to script doctor

• Format Only: a typesetter, not an editor. It writes the slugline, puts names in caps, splits speech from action, fixes an obvious typo. It adds no words of its own. Written by you: 100%. Edited: 0%.
• Creative Polish: a line editor, not a writer. Your story, your beats, your dialogue word for word. It smooths your sentences for flow and adds a small stage direction where the page needs one. It never adds a scene, a character or a spoken line. Written by you: 100%. Edited: usually 20 to 30% of the wording, counted on your own pages.
• Script Doctor: a script doctor, not a ghostwriter. Your story, your characters, your scenes. It writes new action lines, adds images and rhythm, and may rework a spoken line. More of the words on the page will be its. Written by you: the story. Edited: usually 30 to 60% of the wording, counted on your own pages and named on your seal. This level is tagged "Leans on AI".

How the number is taken

Every word that went into your pages is counted: yours from the draft, and the ones the app added while formatting at the level you picked. Ideas from Atticus are not writing and are not counted.

• 60 to 79: Human Led, AI Assisted
• Under 60: Co-Written with Screenplay Assistant

Every writer gets the certificate. The band prints in words under the number.

Being straight with you

Anything you typed or pasted into the app counts as yours. The app cannot see what happened before that. This is a record of what Screenplay Assistant observed, not a text detector.

Not a detector

A detector reads a finished page and guesses, from the style of the writing, whether a person wrote it. It was not there. It is reading tea leaves, and it is wrong often enough to hurt writers who did the work.

This counts instead. The app was in the room for every scene, so it does not have to guess. It adds up what you put in and what it put in, and prints the result.
